Blade

– The blade of the sword has been hand forged using the ancient method of sword making . full hand forged and full hand polished.

-The balde was made of folded Damascus steel in Maru structure smelted and pounded to fold 13 times to creat 8192 layers, Not only can remove the remain impurities of the carbon steel and better distribute the carbon to form the blank, But also allow the layers to bend at rates. A special clay was applied on the blade to control the rate at which the blades cools when quenced after grinding(rough finishing). The clay ensures carbon does not simply escape during this process. a beautiful real hamon was appeared on the balde result of Differential hardening. The blade was well heat treating (Refining) and quenching(Tempering) greatly improve the hardness for real use. The blade has shaped in “SHINOGUI-ZUKURI” style. handmade shinken Bo-Hi to keep it well on heaving cutting. The sword is sharp enough for cutting practice, very good choice for Dojo students and collection, gifts and display. It is durable enough for cutting tameshigiri and bamboo.

-This blade comes with a full length Tang which greatly enhances the strength of the sword. The tip of the blade is a shaped shinogi-zukuri, and with chu kissaki and real yokoto; it was well defined with the hamon going all the way through the Boshi.

Fittings

-Koshirae: The Tsuba (guard), Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) of the sword is made of high quality blacked iron finished. The Habaki (blade collar) is a one piece brass construction. Two Seppas (spacer) secure the Tsuba.

Tsuka: The Tsuka (handle) core is wooden and it is tightly wrapped over genuine Ray skin (Samegawa) with silk Ito. The Tang of the sword is secured by two Mekugi (peg) . you can unassembled the blade from the handle by taking out 2 pegs.

-Saya: The saya (sheath) of the sword is hard wooden with high quality lacquer be shine. A high quality Silk Sageo has been tied around the Kurikata (knob) of the scabbard.
